Early Autumn Fishing Update

It’s mid September already and we are seeing a major improvement in fishing as we move from Summer to Autumn! Mini lures, general nymph patterns like a hares ear and dries are all taking fish. The fields around the lakes have large numbers of crane flies, more than we’ve seen for a long time and fish will respond to both the naturals and our suggestion of them.

We are now into our stocking program for autumn/winter, with rainbows, blues and browns from 2-3lbs up to double figures. The coming weeks and months provide some of the best fishing of the year. We look forward to seeing you around our wonderful fishery!🙂
