Early Spring Fly Fishing Update

2024 has certainly supplied us with plenty of water so far! Let’s hope it now keeps the fish in feeding mood over the coming months as it feeds into the lakes through the springs. Despite it being so wet, the banks around the fishery are in very good order, making your fishing more enjoyable! On the subject of fishing, sport has been mixed January to late March. This has been due to the changeability of the weather. One day it’s been tough, the next, anglers have caught well. Lures, buzzers, bloodworm, general nymph and spider patterns have all produced on the right day. Our best advice is stay mobile and keep changing tactics until you find what they want that day!
