Fishing Report for Jan-Feb 2023

January and February might not be everyones idea of prime time trout fishing, however for anglers prepared to venture out, this is a time of plenty on the lakes. Trout are working hard to find food and streamers and nymphs are producing results, with browns to 6lbs and rainbows to 12lbs landed.

With March here, the caravan site opens once again for our travelling anglers who find this so useful. On mild, sunny afternoons hatches of small buzzer are lifting a few fish toward the surface, the occasional fish will take an emmerger for those of you who persevere. Otherwise a range of lures, buzzers, bloodworm and DB, HE & PT nymphs are all producing fish.
