Fishery Report at March 20th 2020

Fishery Report At March 20th 2020

Despite coronavirus doing it’s best to spoil the party, we remain open for fishing and what a few weeks it has been! Numerous double figure rainbows including the first 20lber of the year, browns to mid doubles and some good catches to boot.

Anglers have done well with both nymph and lure. The mild weather has seen nymph fishing being the most productive option, though not always. A good selection of lures in various colours and sizes, buzzers, bloodworm, hares ear nymph, diawl bach and pheasant tail are all productive patterns. In the coming weeks remember to try dry fly, it’s massively under used here and provides superb sport under the right conditions.

We look forward to seeing you at Loynton. However, please do follow NHS guidelines and if you experience coronavirus symptoms or come into contact with someone who has recently. It will keep us all safe and able to enjoy fishing and life in general.

Best wishes

Loynton Team
