January 2022 Fishing Report

January produced a continuation of good winter fly fishing. Trout in prime condition, fighting above their weight. Top flies have been lures in various colours, seasonal favourites been black and green, white and green, olive and yellow, red, plus buzzers, bloodworm and the usual general nymphs such as crunchers, hares ear and diawl bach.

Top fish for January have been 12lb rainbow, 10lb blue and the awesome 18lb brown pictured above.
