October 2020 Fishing Report

The fishery and estate as a whole looks fabulous in its autumn glory, a great backdrop to fishing. We have a superb stock of brown, blue and rainbow trout to over 20lbs in the lakes awaiting you for November.

October’s fishing has seen some excellent catches, however some anglers have struggled and a few days have been tough. Double figure rainbows and blues graced the banks to over 16lbs (see our FB page for photos).

Winning flies and tactics have been very widespread, with no definitive patterns. Overall an approach with lures AM and nymphs PM has worked. However our best advice is to keep changing things until you catch, let the trout tell you what they want.
